ECS Revolutionizes Space Tech with In-house CubeSat On-Board Computer
Taipei, Taiwan – Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) (2331.TW), with its long-standing expertise in computer motherboard design, has successfully developed the CubeSat On-Board Computer (OBC). This groundbreaking product will carry a payload and is set to launch aboard the Lilium3 CubeSat from National Cheng Kung University, expected to lift off in Q4 2025, initiating space experiments.
In parallel, ECS has developed the high-performance OBCC6M7R motherboard specifically designed for CubeSats, which will officially begin accepting orders for sale starting in November this year. The introduction of this product will accelerate ECS's commercialization of space industry technologies, injecting strong momentum into the company's future growth.
ECS is actively collaborating with the Taiwan Space Agency (TASA) and, with a solid technological foundation, is dedicated to satellite product design and application services. Through this satellite launch experiment and product release, ECS will continue to strengthen its commercial capabilities in the space industry, contributing to the development of Taiwan's space sector.
